In addition to its 2015 recognition, in 2014, O’Reilly Public Relations (now known as OPR Communications) received a Capella Award for managing to place media for a client in an article about the Morongo Band of Mission Indians. PRSA awards may be made at the campaign level, in recognition of a single aspect of a campaign, or to individuals.
Individual awards may be category-based or industry-based. For example, category-based awards include those for outstanding educators in the field, public service, and lifetime achievement. Industry-based awards are given in such areas as health care, diversity and multicultural issues in public relations, and technology journalism, among others.
